OBJECTIVES

• promote the contributions of women as users, creators and producers of technologies;
• contribute to the elimination of the gender divide and highlight the role women play in innovation;
• celebrate diversity in all areas of cultural, social and economic life;
• support the holistic approach on which the association’s activities are based;
• encourage cooperation, the transfer of innovative practices and the creation of networks;
• favour professional mobility and the recognition, in Europe, of degrees released in non-European countries;
• collaborate in the identification of the new professional figures and skills required to operate in the Knowledge Society;

WHO WE ARE

ACTIVITIES   

Cultural: conventions, conferences, exhibitions, debates, seminars, production of films and documentaries.

Training: theoretical and practical refresher courses, creation of study and research groups.

Editorial and dissemination: publication of seminar and conference transcripts, dissemination of studies, research and best practice concerned with making the most of diversity and of the female approach to innovation.

Educational: interaction with schools, universities, public administrations and businesses to develop a culture of innovation.

HOW TO JOIN 

The association is made up of ordinary, promoter and honorary members. n ordinary or promoter member may be a physical person or legal entity (public or private organisations and associations). 
One may become an honorary member if he/she has demonstrated sensitivity and dedication to those areas deemed deserving by the association.

The international Women&Technologies® 2008-2015 conference offers observations on the relationship between women and technologies in the fields of technological development and innovation, but also in relation to the themes most relevant to the Expo 2015.
